Thomas Jefferson has undertaken a truly significant investment in the education of our students — and in the Joplin community.
The Humphreys Arts and Student Life Complex will strengthen TJ’s legacy as the premiere school in the region — providing the best possible learning environment for our children, and equipping them to thrive in an increasingly competitive world. This project allows TJ to continue fulfilling its mission while purposefully enhancing opportunities for students by increasing our curriculum’s scope and flexibility. A learning environment which embraces such goals requires the resources of its entire community, including exceptional facilities, a talented and committed faculty, world-class technology, and the financial support of its families and friends.
In asking the TJ community to make a commitment to support the Arts and Student Life Complex, TJ is asking you for some of the same things it asks of its students each day — to test new capacities, seek out challenge, develop an appreciation for the arts, and take responsibility for themselves and their future. We ask that you consider making a gift to support the Arts and Student Life Complex in addition to your annual giving. Annual Giving helps fund the day-to-day operations of the school not completely covered by tuition dollars, while this project helps us build the future.
We hope you will join us as we invest in the future of our children. Ben Parsons, TJ’s Head of School, would be happy to discuss ways of commemorating your generous gift, including the naming opportunities listed here. Contact him at firstname.lastname@example.org .
